I wonder if anyone is having the same issues I am with Windows Live Messenger? My company and all employees with computers or smartphones uses this as a constant communication tool. On BlackBerry it works really well. If you lose signal and re-gain it, it will auto sign back in. With the Hero, it works fine initially but then after an unknown amount of inactivity, it signs out or whatever. When this happens, it does not sign itself back in until you do it manually or soft reset.
Very annoying problem since everyone at the office reminds me that my "little green man" isn't working. So my new incredible doesn't update like my blackberry did. I checked the settings and the notifications are selected, but nothing comes through. When I open the app and goto the home screen and then notifications, I have to force a refresh to see my responses, etc. I have recently got myself an HTC hero but can't seem to update the firmware so I'm stuck with the 1. Since I reset my phone a few weeks ago, I get "Application updates available" notifications every day at am.
I cannot switch them off. I am running Android 2. How do I enable notifications for updates to apps I've downloaded from the marketplace? Can't seem to find the option. My Droid notified me that I had updates yesterday yea! I attended to the other two notifications email and an SMS and by that time the update notification was gone. When I go into settings and check for update, it says it's up to date. Is there a way I can view my Notifications History so that I can go get the updates?
Anyone else have notifications for updated apps stop working? The option is turned on in Market, sync is active etc and I don't get notifications, have to manually go into Market and check the downloads list. Sometimes there will be 10 updates in there.
