I am new to this with Macs. Dec 1, PM in response to jcr4runner In response to jcr4runner God this board is so unweildy atm - best thing to have is an ext fw drive as your media disc for your iMac. Everything goes on to that. Except your proj files. It'll tell you what you've used and what you've got left. Dec 1, PM in response to Robbosaur In response to Robbosaur best thing to have is an ext fw drive as your media disc for your iMac.

That's definitely a future acquisition along with tens of thousands of other dollars of stuff! Unfortunately, I don't think this is the problem. I have GB left on a GB drive. Any other ideas? If not now, then eventually. You can get gigs or more for about a hundred and fifty bucks. However, that is not the likely source of your problem. I'd forgotten about that one. Could be They are valid files. There are no strange characters. FCP recognizes them and they open in other applications. I've opened new projects. The problem is not specific to any one project. I will buy an external drive, but I suspect that there is another problem since it was working fine last week and I have already erased a lot of unneeded files.

I don't see any solutions though. Here are two lengthy ones. They go round and round and don't get anywhere. I don't believe you're seeing an Access problem - people see "0 access denied" and think it's an error code.
